What to include

We answer specific questions much faster than general ones, so it is worth a minute of extra typing.

• Lead with the question. Context is useful, but not first.
• Paste the address of the page you are writing about, and the sentence that prompted the message.
• If a page looks broken, say which browser and which device, and send a screenshot if you can.

If we got it wrong

Quote the line you think is wrong and say what it should say instead. That is enough. The editorial policy sets out what happens next, including when a correction gets a visible note.

Response times

Most messages get an answer within two working days. Longer questions take longer, and when something needs checking before we can give a straight answer we would rather be slow than wrong.

Use the same address and put the word partnership in the subject line. Please read the commercial links section of the editorial policy first, because it will save both of us a round trip.

Where we have to say no

There is a line between publishing about personal finance and advising you personally, and we stay on the publishing side of it. That rules out account problems, disputes with third parties, and anything that depends on facts only you can see. See the legal notice.
